Joe was being interviewed during the show premiere (stranger things) and as usual he was answering the questions given to him in a calm and casual tone. As the small interview continued, in the corner of Joe's eyes he notices someone walking down the red carpet aisle. It was no one other than you. When you were in Joe's vision, his eyes bright up. His eyes were no longer on the interviewer due to his full attention on you (who was posing for pictures). When you finished posing for the paparazzi, you soon take notice of Joe. Your smile and eyes bright up just like how his did when he saw you. You walked up to Joe with a bright smile and an excited tone.

"Joe! Oh my gosh, there you are! I've been looking for you!"

You practically scream towards Joe as you sped walked closer to him with the biggest smile plastered on your face. After giving Joe a quick hug, you quickly apologize to the interviewer for interrupting.

"Oh I'm so sorry to interrupt" you tell the interviewer with an apologetic smile even though the interviewer tells you that it's fine and that they're a huge fan. "I'll come back later!" You excitedly tell Joe as you walk further away from him but your arm is still reached out towards him.

This causes Joe to smile brightly and dramatically reach out for your hand too. You then walked away and continued with your own journey through the premier.

Throughout the small interview, Joe suddenly started becoming more enthusiastic as if he just ate a bunch of candy. His energy level rose knowing that you were looking for him and that you practically dropped everything to greet him. This man was more than flustered, he was practically giggling like a little school girl

Everyone now looks back at that small clip and notice that you make Joe have the biggest, dorkest smile on his face.

You were doing a small trivia game with Maya, Joseph, Natalie, and Joe (your soulmate🤞). The trivia started off with questions about Stranger things throughout the season.

"What flavor slurpee did Alexie ask Hopper to pick up for him?" The host asked everyone and you all started thinking. Maya being the first one to add a guess, "was it grape?". Joe disagreed with Maya before responding and saying that the slurpee was cheery. The host told you guys that the answer was right which caused Joe to add his opinion.

"I only knew it was cherry cause that's y/n's favorite slurpee flavor" Joe says with a soft chuckle. "Yup it is" you respond to Joe and nodding my head in agreement while raising your hand up to high five him. When Joe high fived you, you guys interlocked your fingers together and held them in the air for a couple of seconds. The host continued with the question while you and Joe lowered your interlocked hands.

"What are the six things that eleven's mother, terry, says on loop?" The interviewer asked everyone and instantly Joe says some silly answer. "Chicken noodle soup bell rock" Joe says quickly while raising his hand as if he was confident in his answer. This caused you to laugh and lower his hand quickly. "No, no that's not our answer, put it down" you say to the interviewer, through your laughter and Joe laughed along with you. Throughout the whole interview, you and Joe kept joking around and being in your own worlds while not taking the game seriously.

you were once again at another interview with Joe. This time you guys were with gaten. Gaten is a really close friend of you and Joe. Today's interview, you guys would be answering the world's most searched questions about y'all. Gaten and you already took your turns and now it was only Joe left to answer/ clear the board.

Joe grabbed the board given to him and started from bottom to top just to quirk it up a little. The questions started off weird such as asking him if he is dating. You and Joe went quiet, while gaten just laughed. You and Joe side eyed each other (WHICH THE FANS NOTICED) before Joe answered the question hesitantly.

"Well..." Joe starts before glancing at you, who was blushing a little bit, but covered it up by giggling and covering your face. "...I think I'll leave that up to mystery cause that's what it's all about" Joe continues his sentence as he had a playful smirk on his face. You raised your eyebrows and had a faint smile on your before turning to the camera to shrug you shoulders. Joe then decided to just move on to the next question as if nothing happened.

● The Subway Boss was not a difficult person to gift shop for – Ingo would take any gift with genuine appreciation, simply due to his sentimental nature. You could hand him something he hated, but, as long as you clearly seemed like you were trying to make him happy, he would clap his hands and give you one of his characteristic “bravo's.” But, it was hard to see things that he might truly love. Yes, anything train adjacent would assuredly suffice and overjoy him, yet it was always a concern of whether or not he already had such a thing in his personal collection. Other things held strong appeal to him, too, such as anything related to his pokemon. Still, you had the full intention to obtain something that the twin truly wanted. It was through prodding of his brother that you managed to obtain your answer – Something that he had not mentioned to you directly.

● You had caught Ingo as he rested on the couch after getting in from work. He had his tie half down with the top of his shirt unbuttoned. Behind you was the gift that you had worked so hard to make for him. He tilted his head as you approached him, giving one of his smiles where his lips barely pulled up. His hand came up to pull you down to his sitting level for a kiss, but you caught him off-guard by pulling out the gift. The Litwick wrapping paper made him blink a few times as he took it from you. Then, he tore it away to reveal what was hidden underneath. A scrapbook of various photos that you had taken together with him since being in your relationship was what you had decided on. He carefully flipped through it, eyes becoming softer with each flip of the page. A true smile broke his lips as he sat it in his lap and looked up at you. “… Thank you, dearest,” he spoke in a low-tone, “This is truly something wonderful. I will treasure it.” You felt your heart swell with feeling that you had finally managed to get something that he truly desired.

○ The Subway Boss in white was a particularly easy person to gift shop for. He would plainly tell you what he liked and disliked if asked and would do the same for gifts when given. This may have earned him quite a few glares from his older twin, but he simply argued that the truth of the matter was the most important. Yet, his interests were plain for anyone to see and understand. He loved his job and, therefore, trains, and he loved his pokemon. Battling was his favourite, too. It was easy, but you wanted to get him something that would both surprise and overjoy him. That was not easy. He would truly be happy with anything of the previous diaspora, but you wanted to do something above and beyond for him. It was difficult, but you considered him closely and found yourself asking both his brother and friends a bit for answers.

○ When you found it, you asked him to come home after his shift with a little delay. He was true to his answer and showed up as soon as he could, smiling and waving when he got in the door. You found yourself in a tight hug as he questioned why you wanted him home as soon as he could. You slipped off his uniform cap and picked up your gift from the kitchen counter. He held it in his hands for a moment, just smiling at the train print paper you had wrapped it up in. Then, he pulled it away carefully to reveal what you had got him inside. He gasped at what you had custom ordered. A conductor's cap with a Joltik print on it. Putting it on his head, he struck one of his many poses and grinned brightly. “This is verrry good,” he nodded, “I love it! Thank you, darling!” Emmet soon caught you in another suffocating hug as you felt relief that it had worked.

☄️ Cyrus quite often proved someone difficult to shop for. His usual response of indifference made getting gifts next to impossible. Whether he enjoyed them or not was also up in the air. While this would likely discourage most and make them wish to pull away from it, you found yourself rather invigorated by it and wishing to find something that would truly break that stoic streak of his. His interests were mostly obvious – He loved machines more than anything else, yet that was not something you could easily provide. Not to mention, he already got his fill with his job and hobby. No, you had to attack from another angle. One, you knew no one else would be so easily aware of.

☄️ Catching him before his disappeared in his home office, you dragged him back into the living room and made him stand while you pulled out his gift from where you had hidden it. He watched you with mild curiosity. Pulling out a gift wrapped in a galaxy print paper, you held it out to him. Carefully, he took it from you and began to unwrap the gift. Cyrus was eerily quiet, as observed it. You felt your heart drop. The Rotom figurine perhaps was really not something to his tastes in the end, after all. But, before you could apologise for wasting his time, he met your gaze. “… This is truly quite nice,” his voice was low, “I appreciate you thinking of me.” While you still felt insecure in your choice at that time, you later knew he truly enjoyed it when you saw it sitting on his desk.

🪙 How does one get a gift for a man who could buy anything that he possibly ever wanted on a whim? The prince was truly something else to shop for. You were personally acquainted with his large collection and knew that it would be impossible to ever get him something that would impress him in the slightest. While you doubted he would ever say anything intentionally cruel to your face (unintentionally notwithstanding), it still hurt when you attempted to think of things to get for him. Asking his retainers and closest friends did not get you any closer to the goal you had in mind. It hurt, but you try not to feel so discouraged. A remark from him about the most precious things not having a price tag echoed in your mind. There simply had to be something out there that you could get him.

🪙 You held the gift box in your hand as you finally had a chance to be alone with him. He had just finished all his duties for the day and had crashed onto one of the couches in his quarters. His sunglasses laid on a nearby end table while his coat was shed and folded nearby. You felt yourself tense up a bit when he stared at you from across the room. There was a silent question in his gaze about what you were holding. Coming up to him, you watched as he sat up and took the offering from you. The wrapping paper's print was covered in Gimmighoul coins. He tore it away without any hesitation and scrutinised the gift inside. You felt defeated. He probably would not enjoy it. Why would he care for something like a framed photo of you both at a gala event he held? Before you could deflate, he sat the picture down on the end table. “… I had been meaning to have the prints processed myself,” his voice was low, likely strained from speaking all day, “Thank you. I'm truly glad to have this finally.” You could tell with his glance back that he truly adored it.

The sheer amount of noise surrounding you was making you light-headed. Yet, you plastered on a smile, smoothed out your silky skirt and stepped onto the red carpet. Your smile didn’t budge as you inched down the carpet, performing for the hungry cameras and the sometimes scary men behind them. You grit your teeth as they yell commands, changing pose as they desire, waiting to get to the interview portion of the red carpet. At least the journalists had to be polite to you.

A woman from some gossip rag you purposefully avoid reading calls you over and you consciously boost your smile again, turning up the energy to 100. She’s nice, at least, and a good conversationalist. Too many interviewers left you to pick up their slack and carry the conversation as if it weren’t their job to be digging for the information they want.

“How does it feel to be nominated for an Emmy in your first foray into television?” She asks and you beam.

“It’s such an honour, really. I mean, this show is such a labour of love, Lily put her heart and soul into the writing, so I’m just so grateful I got to be the one to bring it to life. It’s so amazing that we’re both being nominated tonight,” You answer with a practised grace, giving a glance to the camera behind the interviewer.

The conversation continues and you find yourself enjoying it more than you anticipated. The interviewer connects with you well and matches your excited energy at being around celebrities. You figure it’s about time you move on, but give her one more question as a secret reward for her not being as invasive as the others usually are. She asks about your friendship with Lily and creating a project with someone you’d known forever and you grin again.

You start your answer, gushing over Lily’s talent for screenwriting and your friendship of ten years. You turn to look for her, meaning to gesture when your eyes get caught on something. Someone.

“Who is that?” You ask the interviewer, pointing out the most gorgeous man you’d ever seen in your life. Long dark hair, dressed in all black with silver jewellery glinting in the flash of cameras, you basically fall in love at first sight.

“That’s Sirius Black,” The interviewer answers with a laugh.

“God, what is he from?” He’s honestly supernaturally good-looking, you’re not convinced he’s real.

“He co-created and stars in The Marauders series, you haven’t seen it yet?”

“No, I’ve been meaning to but I haven’t had the time — Lils says it really has to be appreciated so I’m waiting to dedicate significant time to it. He did not look like that on the poster.” The series is set in high school and so all the actors look different, younger, Sirius no exception. The dark eyeliner around his grey eyes creates a magnetic contrast that makes him look much more mature than his character.

“Is it safe to say you’ll be finding him at the after-party?” The interviewer asks cheekily. The situation comes back to you in an instant; you’re on camera and who knows how many people are seeing you thirst over another actor in real-time.

“God no,” You laugh, frantically trying to brush over the incident, “I don’t chase after boys. He’d have to work for my attention.” You wink in an attempt to deliver the joke and it goes over smoothly enough, the interviewer graciously letting it go and thanking you for your time. You thank her profusely.

You chance another glance at Sirius as you move on, all grace and long limbs as he effortlessly poses for photos and messes around with his co-stars, spirit not yet beaten out of him by Hollywood. You envy the way his cast talk all the way through the process, clearly extremely fond of each other. You would go to the ends of the earth for Lily, your best friend and writer of the show you star in, but your male lead couldn’t be more opposite. Severus Snape was someone you would never get along with, and your interviews consisted of forced smiles and camaraderie on your side and zero effort from him. You would love a cast like The Marauders, not that you would dare complain to Lily, who had given you so much.

You don’t end up meeting Sirius during the awards or the afterparty, unfortunately, though you do see him once more across the room and feel the flutter of intrigue in your stomach. The next awards ceremony you had a goal, and a series to watch in the meantime.

LOVE IS ON THE RED CARPET? EMMY WINNER ADMIRES NOMINEE SIRIUS BLACK

The clip from that interview goes viral, both your fans and Sirius’ dissecting every frame of the videos. Some focus on the subtle up-and-down you give him, slowing it down to a snail’s pace to catch every eye movement. Others focus on Sirius, swearing they could see his eyes flick over to you for a fraction of a second. The ultimate conclusion is that you two should be in love, or already are, and fan edits of both you and your characters are already surfacing on TikTok.

You sigh from your hotel bed, scrolling through an endless amount of photos of him and yourself. Your publicist would not be happy with you. Although, it could be a pretty good marketing strategy.

More Lodgers! I think Mosley is my favorite of this batch, both pose and design-wise. I'm drawing them in order of introduction, and it's almost like a cool little Easter egg hunt looking for different angles and full-body panels of characters that don't show up a ton.

Thoughts under the cut again

Back at it again with the goggles and gloves! Except for Mr. Griffin which is interesting. Could be for lots of reasons, like pulling descriptions from The Invisible Man, or maybe his work doesn't require a lot of physical risk, or maybe they just didn't want all the Lodgers to feel too samey. He's still aligned with the Lodgers aesthetically through the apron, which Bird also wears. Neat! I'm very entertained by the different types of eyewear too. Some have goggles, some have binoculars, and some have layers of magnifiers like jeweler's glasses (of course I always think of the Toy Story 2 scene). I'm sure some of them have super specialized equipment too, like Maijabi probably has some sort of spectral filter lens or something.

God what I would give to pick Sage Cotugno's brain about some of these designs because I am fascinated by Mosley. They technically didn't have to go through and give each lodger such a strong sense of personality but I adore that they did! Mosley in particular reminds me of Mole from Atlantis, with the scarf and the multi-layered goggles and the digging. And Helsby wouldn't be out of place at the Benbow Inn! Know that I mean this as incredibly high praise, I could talk about the designs in Treasure Planet for days. Point is that both those movies have an incredibly strong visual identity, primarily through the character designs and architecture, and this comic feels the same way to me.

My personal favorite rogue scientist is next up! I love her design so much and I'm so excited to draw her. Also, how in the hell do you end up with "make spy bugs" as your job?? And where can I sign up?? Miss Flowers please

I realize that I've been labeling all the Lodgers as "doctor" but it's entirely possible that some of them probably don't have doctorates. Y'know. The thing that makes you a doctor. Then again Frankenstein dropped out of college and we all call him "Dr" so I don't see why these fine people shouldn't get the same respect! Dunno if this applies to Victoria Frankenstein though. She's crazy enough to have also finished college while all the other shit was happening.

(yes I know that Frankenstein technically had all the knowledge and the expertise and was miles ahead of literally everybody else and only dropped out because he was busy proving that death is merely a temporary state and God means nothing in the face of human ingenuity and all that, but the bastard still didn't graduate and also he's an asshole so I'm gonna pick on him)

Valentine's Comic Wedding Special IV: Archie''s Revenge: Bunnie and Antoine

Happy Valentine's Day all you Happy People! So for those new to this proud tradition, I love a good wedding episode, issue, what have you and so for the past 3 years i've had my patreons each pick one from the massive pile there is in comics, many of which I haven't read, and then you fine folks vote on the winner. In previous years it's been oops all superheroes, but this year I added a few non superhero weddings to the list my patreons, and yours truly could pick from. And this one, like last years Wally and Linda Wedding, was a landslide.

Yes by an overwhelming margin, WeirdKev's pick of Antoine and Bunnie won. It's honestly nice as it not only shows how strong the love for the Archie Sonic comics still is after nearly a decade out of print, beating out marvel, dc and the other archie option. On the bright side archie at least got a sponsorship deal on the wedding

I was pleased with these results: Antoine and Bunnie are some of archie's best characters and some of the main reasons i'm mad Sega won't let anyone what use them because their bitter lemons.

While the happy couple may not be superheroes they do have a history as vast, rich, weird and often exausting as them. Sonic's ongoing lasted for 24 years so it had plenty of time to build up as much continuity, good and chunky, as possible. A few years back I read through EVERY issue of Archie Sonic. It was.. truly exausting for reasons that will become clear as I dive into these two's history, but ultimately worth it. So join me for a deep dive into these two and their nuptials under the cut.

For starters Bunnie and Antoine actually debuted in SATAM, one of two sonic cartoons at the time each taking a diffrent approach. It's sister series Adventures was a wacky looney tunes style series where Sonic foiled Robotnik's wacky schemes and robotnik posed naked or near naked a few times, one of which my friend Mars proudly owns a cell of.

SATAM on the other hand took this shit seriously and took a turn that worked far better than it had any right: In the world of SATAM Robotnik isn't a goofy guy in various contraptions, but a cruel horrifying dictator voiced deftly by Jim Cummings. He still does schemes of the week at times, but instead of stuffing animals into cartoony robots he horrifyingly turns furries into milndless roboticized slaves. The only line between him and total world Domination are the freedom fighters, Sonic and his amazing friends who do daring raids on Robotnik's nightmare city of Robotropolis.

The Freedom Fighters exist because back then sonic's supporting cast was .. just Tails. There were sketches of characters, but with CD and Knuckles only on the horizon, early stuff had to get creative. Hence the freedom fighters: Leader, stratigest supreme, love intrest and princess Sally Acorn, Rotor the tech savy walrus (Tails hadn't picked up that trade yet), and of course Antoine and Bunnie. Bunnie was the muscle of the team, a rabbit who'd been partially roboticized but could use her cursed gift to help others. She wasn't in the show as much as she should've been but was well loved.

Antoine was more prominent.. and also an obnoxious asshat. Antoine was a self important twit who while deftly voiced by Rob Paulsen, pritoitsed trying to get into Sally's non existant pants over their life or death struggles and constantly resented sonic for having her affections and being cooler and actually doing his job. Antoine seemed to be only on the team because shut up. He was a coward, and while it's okay to have fear given the odds their against, he seemed really not cut out for this and given they had a villiage base, should've stayed there. Tails was protrayed as a tagalong kid here but he should've easily taken Antoine's spot as despite being greener, he had far more pasion and bravery than his older counterpart.

So while SATAM and Adventures were in development Archie Comics, they of the never ending love triangle that should really just be a polycule now, came a knockin. They TRIED to get the rights for adventures but instead got SATAM.. and being archie proceded to make a comic that had the premise of SATAM but stuck to their comedy wheelhouse. The comics would evolve past this as they went, largely thanks to MIcheal Gallagher (Who was still good with sticking in gags) and well.. Ken Penders

Who slowly grew to suck , but that's a story for another time.

Back on point the cast was transplanted as was. Antoine fit better here as being the douchey comedic foil works better in a comedy. He still had exactly no shot with Sally. For a while though he mostly stuck around as panicky comic relief and didn't really change much from SATAM, the only big change being he was less obnoxious... apart from his prosecuting sonic for treason, which he turned out to be innocent of. Again story for another time.

Bunnie however got fleshed out a bit. For starters she got a proper origin story, as rather than be with the team from day one with the initial mini or ongoing, she joined in issue 3. Sonic and Rotor got word of use of a portable robtocizer, via Rotor's Little Mermaid Camera, yes really, and found a rabbit farmer being captured by swat bots. Calling them a yankee did nothing and she was chucked in

Exausted for obvious reasons, Sonic ran Bunnie back, not carring if robotnik tracked them: saving someone in distress was more important. Sally agreed and Bunnie joined the team, proving to be an instant asset and the series break out star. While most of the focus was still on Sonic , as you'd expect, Bunnie got a consderable number of backup features. She never got a mini series like Tails and Sally, weirdly enough, but she still got more than enough spotlight to flesh her out and add a new dimension: While her robotic limbs made her super poewrful.. they felt like a curse. She wanted badly to be herself again and even had a nightmare one issue where robotnik hacked her cybernetics to slowly reoboticize her. It was the cornerstone of her character. And if you thinka southern accented hard hitting southren belle who has a tragic condition sounds familiar... your right. Bunnie was made more like Rogue from the x-men with time, even getting a leather jacket in the strips later years.. also a neat cowboy hat.

As the comic went on more twists turned, things got more serious, and as things escalated. And with all this Antoine's jealously MOSTLY disappeared, replaced as Sonic's rivarly by prized asshole and 19 year old Geoffery St John, because 19 was okay for a 15 year old back then as far as fiction was concerned.

Geoffery fucking hated sonic, partly out of jealously and partly because Sonic never gave the prick respect, constantly calling the freedom fighters "Ameturs" as he'd been fighting robotnik longer.. despite them having way more success. If he sounds punchable your extremley correct.. and it's someone acting on that that lead to Antoine's finest moment. After close to 50 issues, he got some character development when the freedom fighters, their allies the wolf pack and Geoffry all had a tense camp out.

Also present was Uncle Chuck, sonic's uncle who had been roboticized but got freed of it earlier in the comic and had since served as their spy on their inside, a kingsman who might let some things slide. Geoffery being nature's biggest dickhead, wasn't convinced Chuck was on the up and up, and figured he was a traitor. Sonic understandably popped the arrogant prick and certified pedophile one, and Geoffery less understandably prepared to kill sonic... till a hero emerged

Not only does Twan stand up to the asshole but he points out his DAD founded the underground Geoffery leads and accuses him of being a traitor. Sadly the skunk isn't but the issue does flesh out Twan considerably. He's revealed to be the son of King Acorn's most loyal soldier, wearing his father's uniform in his honor and actually starting as a hero, having apparnetly saved bunnie in backstory, a retcon I don't hate. His decline is blamed on his crush on Sally: his loyalty turned to love she never reciprocated and the depression over it broke him a little. But clearly seeing his dad's legacy coopted by this prized asshole relit his fire and from here on Antoine is a certified badass and master swordsman and all the better for it.

He's also no longer alone

It's not super sudden either: an earlierr backup had her protecting him when he did a solo missoin, showing off both his growing bravery and hinting at her crush on him. With this the two became a solid couple, the war soon ended and the comic... forgot about them.

The comic largely forgot about Bunnie, Antoine and also Rotor during it's post-robotnik era. Sally's father tried to get her to marry Antoine or give up her crown, yes really he was a right asshole, but when it came to the main plot the two were largely left out. It's a mixed bag: on the one hand seeing two of the series best characters benched, especially since Antoine had just hit his stride as one, is depressing. I didn't realize till writing this review just how little they did between robotnik's fall and the time skip. Their still on the team but Sonic, Sally and to a lesser extent Tails get all the focus.

There were two big developments: We found out what happened to Antoine's father Armand.. he became the evil high shierf while roboticized, terorizing Mercia, a small forest villiage protected by Rob O Hedge, amy's cousin. All stuff I didn't make up. They eventually got him back and eventually his mind was restored like all other robians.

The other was a bit more distressing: in a side story Bunnie found out her cybernetics were no longer working with her nervous system and had a choice: undergo upgrades, or die. She choose, with Antoine's support and love to go through with it. She'd never be free of her limbs, but she accepted them.

This also meant when some random ass aliens deroboticized almost everyone, Bunnie couldn't be, but it's something she accepted.

So yeah not much happened for the two. They were happy, they were stuck playing support in various nonsense overcomplicated plot lines I thankfully don't have to get into, things were good.

Sadly there IS a nonsense overcomplicated plot line I do have to get into. So Mobius what got invaded by starfish aliens and sonic seemingly died but instead spent what felt like a few months but ended up being a year to everyone else making his way back across the galaxy. This lead to a time skip. Which would be a great idea, I love a good time skip and after years of the status quo being kind of wobbly we were back to Eggman having the upper hand and our heroes on the backfoot, which could be seen as regressive but honestly worked.

The problem is most of Boller's other ideas.. didn't. He decided to shake up the main couples and had antoine don an eyepatch and break up with Bunnie, while Sally broke up with sonic because he woudln't stop fighting which she screamed at him for and slapped him.. despite the war being at it's worst again and badly NEEDING him and part of the deep shit they were in was due to his absence. It felt horribly selfish and out of character. Sally was the general for the rebellion previously. She knows the sacrifices needed. Sonic isn't doing this for the thrills like she thinks but because people need him and like a true hero he can't let good people get hurt.

This felt like an excuse to get Sonic and Bunnie which while sadly brief.. actually kinda worked. The two had chemistry before, it created tension and we could eventually find out WHY Antoine broke up with Bunnie. Instead this lasted maybe a second, and instead Bunnie ended up making out with Scourge, sonic's evil alternate universe counterpart who at the time looked just like him. If this sounds fucking gross it was. He made out with a bunch of people while pretending to be sonic. It's gross as it sounds and somehow gets more fucked up as he ended up kissing supporting character fiona fox.. who then started going out with sonic. Whose best friend tails had a crush on her and...

Eventually the comic imploded: Bollers left having trouble working for Ken Penders and Penders was fired for being impossible to work with and kinda nuts.

On his way out though he DID clear up the Bunnie and Antoine thing. And shockingly for Late Stage Ken Penders.. it was suprisingly simple. Antoine had been replaced by his Anti-Counterpart from the same evil universe as Scourge, who wanted the crown and started poisioning people: He poisned antoine's dad then poisoned Sally's dad so he could trick her into marrying him. Thankfulyl Antoine's dad had figured it out, Sonic stopped the wedding and got the real antoine back.

Thankfully after Ken and Karl... came Ian. Ian Flynn, as mentioned is a massive sonic fan, and already loving archie took a similar approach to superhero writers of the time: fix the mess he'd been left with while reminding people whyt hey loved these comics. He spent the first year largely playing clean up, tying up the various tangling threads left by the previous teams. He ended Sonic and Fiona with the whole "She was actually hot for Scourge thing", turned Scourge into scourge in the first place going from a greaser sonic to a real true evil counterpart, refocusing sally's character, and brought tails parents back from space. All mostly done by just.. writing a story around it instead of trying to hastily retcon all the stupid shit.

Naturally that ship writing included Antoine and Bunnie, who were back to being prominent and got a subplot leading to their nuptials. It was a small one and moved fast, but it was nice to give them something, and lead to a full honeymoon arc I already covered some time back . It also implied as hard as an all ages comic could they what did sex to each other

Which let's be fair here: their both hot , their both 18 and over respectively, why not? He knows the fanbase. Their both smokeshows. Let bunnie use those special attachments while Antoine shows off his swordplay. Before we get to the consumation of the marriage we had the marriage itself. The buildup started with a tragedy: Due to all the evil doppleganger shit, Armand died. The story is deeply touching, and seems to be pulled from Flynn's own pain as he dedicated it to his late mother. Armand tells his son how proud he is, not to be ashsamed or blame himself, and to hold onto bunnie. It's a truly wonderful story and a good way to send off the character.

This feels like the big push towards it... though earlier in the story he was already considering it before sonic told him to go to his father. The final push comes after Fiona's betrayal: with a bunch of their enemies loose, one of their own having betrayed them, and things getting more and more dire Antoine decides to do something about it..

After some talking with Sally, who put the two on a mission right away but really just wanted a chance ot talk with Bunnie and apologize for being so distant, the wedding is soon on the issue after the proposal. After all the whole reason he proposed was they don't know how much time they have left. Why wait?

So we've finally come to the actual wedding. Sonic is getting tuxed up in his house, happy to go STAGGGGG after the whole fiona debacle, and heading off to in his words "Go bug the groom". Never change man, never change.

Sonic is going with Tails, who isn't living with his surrogate brother as his parents, as I will never get tired of saying, came back from outer space something the little guy is overjoyed about. He actually likes thier fussing over him like Sonic's Mom does asking him not to run in his nice suit. Maam that's his thing and he has two genuises in his friend group and one for an uncle. If none of them could make fabric that won't roll around at the speed of sound that's on them.

Tails isn't all smiles though as he's still going through some stuff.

Now Fiona and Tails.. is a pretty sad tale all things considered. He fell in love with a robot copy of her.. but that copy was the same age as him. Tails is ten, fiona is 16 and never remotely took his crush seriously, brushing it off when he finds out about her and sonic and when betraying everybody, making sure to hit the poor kid in the face. This is also nice build up for later: Sonic just kinda brushes it off.. and that's part of the problem as Tails is still understandably feeling betrayed his big brother went out with his crush, and this all boils over soon in the excellent house of cards arc. Rather than just milk shit for drama, Ian milks shit for drama.. but couches it in the characters. Sonic SEEMS uncaring because he's laid back and chill and dosen't realize how hurt his friend is or how much tails has grown.

So they go to someone's basement where the Chaotix are trying to help Antoine's nerves.

Why Rotor is absent I have no clue. The Chaotix in this continuity were Knuckles best friends, allies and squad, all coming from angel island themselves.

It is kinda nice vector is trying to help as he's a bit of a playboy in these comics, while Charmy is indeed married. Or at least engaged. It also makes his words here tragic as after this he suffers severe brain damage to put him in line with his child counterpart from heroes.

Espio is absent as he's on a mission, sneaking into the Eggman Empire to find out what he's up to. We'll cut back and forth to him all issue and it's a ncie contrast: the truly happy day at the wedding with everyone in good spirits and reflecting on their own romantic troubles.... while Espio uncovers a terrifying secret: Eggman is gearing up for a massive assault complete with fresh body armor and easily incapacitates him. As our heroes have one of the best days of their lives.. one of the darkest is coming. Again though..

It's one I really want to cove ras the fight between Eggman and Sonic next issue is fucking brutal. Truly fantastic. I honestly might need to cover ian's run after giant days. May have to find someone to sponsor it.

For now though Sonic's bored and goes to the bride to bug them instead. Rosie, Sally's old baby sitter and mother figure while her mom was in a coma tube, decides to use another rose to deal with this

It's a fucking great gag. And yeah Amy at this point is still in her obessive fangirl mode. She's also 12, her body just got what aged up to a teenager. I ship her more with Tails for that reason and because it's always been a ship in my back pocket. NOt against Sonamy mind now she's stopped making stalker rooms or trying to force him into marriage, it just does not work in this continuity. She's too young and he's interested in someone else.

We get some really sweet interactions here as Sally brings up how in her first apperance Bunnie wanted to be her hair stylist. And she will be... it's just now as a side thing for her friend inbetween time with her husband and beating up badniks. They even have a giggle when Rosie and Bunnie tease Sally about Sonic. Sally, like her ex, is happy riding solo for now. Sure hope she dosen't get turned into a robot before anything happens and dosen't get freed because of rights issues> That'd really suck.

It's time for the Wedding as Sonic arrives with Knuckles and runs into Knuckles girlfriend, soulmate and sonic character I dearly miss Julie Su. Julie is a had scrable former soldier and that's why he loves her. She also hates formal wear and how she looks in it, though knuckles he er.. tries to make her feel better

I love this scene, the little banter and the fact neither really want or need to get married. It's neat for a sonic comic of all things to have such a progressive stance for it's time. It's also understandable from a character perspective; both are highly indepent and both's parents had... less than stellar marriages. Knuckles parents divorced while he thought they were dead, with his mom remarying and having another son Kneecaps, and Julie Su's birth parents abandoned her. Her foster parents are doing fine but I get maybe not wanting to get married with all that baggage.. or you know just because you don't want to.

So sonic arrives to meet the royal family. Max, the asshole I mentioned whose left in a wheel chair after the poison, his wife Alicia, and sally's long lost brother I mentiond Elias. I joked about that but while his introduction is needlessly convoluted Elias is a fascinating character and Ian will use him well. He never WANTED the crown, and in fact ran away, finding his wife Megan and soon marrying her and adopting her daughter. He only returned when the kingdom needed him to lead as things got worse with Max, but does a stellar job. He later gets to run my faviorite incarnation of the freedom fighters, the secret freedom fighters.

Despite all the lingering tension... Sonic and Sally still fall back into their old routines.. and the spark is still there.. even if both are.. not exactly ready to reignite it.

We get some omnious setup for a future arc as Tails dad Amedeaus talks about how it's an honor to serve Elias.. and then behind his back admits he soon won't have much more power anyway. This leads to the whole house of cards arc. Seriously while this issue is good it is very hard to talk about a single piece of Ian Flynn's sonic. Like Chris CLaremon'ts x-men it's really one big ongoing story nicely chonked up into arcs and what not.

And so the two are married in a touching ceremony as Espio nearly dies overlaid with it. And we end on.. er Eggman preparing to kill a whole lotta people. See what I mean?

This issue is decent. The sentiment is nice, the sally and bunnie scene are nice and I really do like the contrast between this very happy day.. and the impending doom awaiting our heroes. It's a solid issue with some good moments... but on re-read it's not nearly as good as it was the first time. On Re-Read I noticed just how.. little Antoine and Bunnie play into their own wedding issue: we get a really nice moment of Bunnie and sally.. but Antoine dosen't get anything like that with Sonic, just him being really sweaty while Vector and Charmy of all people try to calm him down. I get their not as close but you could still pull on their long rivarly and it was clear fromt he previous issue just how much Antoine had grown. Instead most of the focus is on Sonic's love tornado, tails depression and setup for later. The setup is damn good.. but it feels like this could've been two issues instead of one but Ian wanted to continue the tradition, upheld to this day, of every 25th issue of sonic being a big deal. A huge story turning point. The resulting story feels great but it rushes the wedding out as a result. There isn't reflection on how they got here, not enough hyjinks.. it just happens really fast and it's over and time for the horror show to start. It's easier to notice in isolation as before i'ts sandwitched betwene Fiona's brutal betryal and the big wham episode that's the next arc.

Thankfully the two would get more spotlight in a tails adventure adaptation of all things, because Ian unlike the writers before him gave a shit about these games and noticed they missed one. The marriage would mostly just be really happy and the two would get used more often.. until tragedy struck and Bunnie was deroboticzed while Antoine was left in a coma, both not resolved as Ken Penders and rights issues meant a reboot came.

Thankfully in the reboot both got plenty of stories, stayed married, and reflected on things, ending the second continuity happy. And we have fan comics to pick up the slack elsewhere. Still this was a nice milestone and with Sega being anti-relationship, I don't see the lemur and wolf wedding we all want and deserve coming anytime soon, so this may be the last sonic wedding. I mean there was that one in Sonic 2 but I don't think traps to catch our heroes count... I mean for these polls they do but we won't be doing that one. * You guys would meet through ponyboy’s school during parent teacher night because you’re his creative writing teacher. When he saw your room he was taken aback by the paper machete covered walls and student work littered all over the place.

* He would be very supportive and always ask you about how you came up with your ideas

* He’s the type to surprise you with a new paint kit, or with new paper if you were close to running out even though you told him you don’t need him wasting his money, he’d simply say., “it’s for my little artist, I want you to fuel your passion.”

* You would definitely help him soften up with Ponyboy and not be so hard on him, letting him be a kid and not do involved in school and track

* He would keep every picture you drew of him, whether it was of a quick sketch while he made breakfast, or a beautiful watercolor painting you made for his birthday of him standing in the evening sun.

* He’d definitely have that framed and hanging over the mantle next to his parents

* He’d definitely tell the gang about your art commission shows, and drag them along with them telling them to be on their best behavior

Sodapop:

* You two would get together by you slipping him small papers of drawings you made of him along with your tip when you came to get your car fixed

* He’d definitely ask you to draw a picture of his old horse,Mickey mouse so he could have it in his wallet

* He’d be the first in line to pose for your drawings or help you come up with ideas for your next project

* I feel like you would use the flowers he’d get you on dates and turn them into a canvas drawing just so they wouldn’t go to waste

* He’d definitely tell you stories of his past while you sketched sitting on his lap

* He would definitely make sure you ate when you had artist block and he would help you distract yourself from it by going in walks, dates, etc.

* He’s an overall supportive lover and would show off all your drawings and tell people that you were the best artist he knows

Ponyboy:

* He would be intrigued,asking you to draw the characters from his favorite books so he could have a visual of them

* You two would definitely end up spending a Saturday at your house, you drawing or painting and him co-existing and reading his book

* He would come to ever art contest or festival you guys had at school, he’d come with the gang as support

* If you won a contest, the gang would take you out and with ponyboy’s(honestly soda pop’s) insistence Darry would buy the painting so Ponyboy could keep it.

* You would kind of be like the bookworm x artist trope it’s adorbs

Two-bit:

* he would definitely steal art supplies for you! Even when you had enough he’d still do it for the fun of it

* He’s very clumsy so he would probably accidentally spill a paint bucket or two, or accidently drop an important canvas you worked on. Followed by standing outside your door apologizing with chocolate and a makeshift bouquet filled with paintbrushes bunched together and paint tubes

* Like this:

Steve:

* When you guys first met, he worked the front counter at the DX. When you came in to pick up your car, he would probably ask you why you had paint in your hair or why there was a pencil behind your ear

* I feel like you would give him small watercolor drawings of his favorite cars and he’d very appreciative, in return giving you free gas every once in a while or a free oil change

* Idk much about Steve but I think he would show sodapop the drawings you gave him just for soda to tease how in love he is

Johnny:

* You were ponyboy’s friend, and when you two met you immediately sketched Johnny because if how adorable his features were, even if he didn’t see it

* He would be the type to patiently watch as you drew and ask you about what inspired you to draw it

* Whenever times were rough at home he’d stay at your place, because your parents didn’t care. He loved how creative your room was, and he would look through all your old journals noting how good you’ve gotten over the years

* He would cherish every drawing you gave him and would ask Dallas for extra cash to buy you supplies and surprise you with

Dallas:

* He’d definitely make fun of your drawings when you first met, saying that couldn’t become a job but he would still show up at every commission or art show you were in, so he could buy each piece storing it in Tim Shepard’s house, which Shepard complained but wasn’t going to do anything about

* Whenever he showed up on your doorstep all bloody and bruised, you’d give him an ice pack and let him lay on the couch while you captured his raw look, drawing it in the spot. “You sure make me look prettier than I actually am.”, he’d say after seeing the finished product

* Just like two bit, he’d steal things for you, even though he had money

* Whenever he went to the cooler, he would write to you asking for more sketches and when he got out he would keep them in his jacket or wallet just to remind him of you

* He would make sure no one would mess up your canvases whenever Shepard had a party and if someone did, they would wish they were dead😵‍💫.

* He’s supportive and I think you would even win an art contest with a drawing of him too, which he would brag about for weeks and weeks.

You’d both wait till the last minute to put something together but it’d still be the best costume of the night omg. Him wearing a “I ♥️ NY” shirt and he’d bring a little camera and take little Polaroids while you posed as the statue- SO CUTE!

Ok I know this seems super unlikely but HEAR ME OUT. He knows how popular the movie is and knows how much you love it, so he agrees to do it with you- as long as he can be mojo dojo casa house Ken. He’d end up singing I’m Just Ken for the whole party ARG!

Aj:

Remy and Linguini from Ratatouille

The plus with this one is that you both could play either character 😋 If he’s the rat he’s pretending to hate it the whole night but secretly loves how amused it makes you. Either way though he’s being goofy with it the whole evening - he’s calling you “my little chef” ofc.

Coraline and Wybie

My 𝐓𝐨𝐩 24 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐬 from 2024 ⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚

1. January 8th: Kai shares a secret

⋆ This was a really fun flashback scene! We got to see Kai, Frances, Dan and Atlas in the earlier years of high school as well as learn that Kai has romantic feelings towards Atlas, who happens to be his first kiss! This is also where his arc officially begins in my mind!

2. March 6th: Taryn's skepticism

⋆ I remember being so proud of this scene because it was one of the first scenes I fully posed the conversation. I really enjoyed of Atlas and Taryn's mannerisms peaked through. I think this conversation while it focuses on a different subject, the nature of it shows their personalities. Taryn struggling with self confidence while Atlas's facade starts to unveil just a bit.

3. March 12th: Frances's solo

⋆ I was really proud of these poses as well as the shots. The shots of Icarus and Frances while romantic do say a lot about how each views each other. Your greatest heartbreak being how Frances feels and the deepest regret being how Icarus feels. For the cello poses, I did reference through watching performances but also real life so it was neat combining the two. I am excited for Frances's future in De Sol Valley especially when new faces are introduced to the cast. It might be similar to Atlas's prologue where Frances is the focus but just in a shorter interval.

4. March 9th: A rose and it's bumblebee

⋆ March was a good month. Maybe not for the characters, but a good month creatively for me ! I'm gonna sound so toxic but I love the tension between these two so much like hold out a bit longer please JUSTKIDDINGPFFTorami? anyways structuring taryn's monologue came out of order. the frames where she says "A stubbed toe. A scraped knee. A fall." came first. Everything else was built around those three sentences. The scene following that was fun to put together because Atlas really does struggle to apologize and take ownership over his fuck up that he tries to smooth things over by being charming but Taryn, getting more comfortable, shows her newfound skill of setting boundaries (courtesy of Atlas LMAO) and calls him out on the bullshit.

5. August 9th: Theo's official introduction

⋆ Much of Theo's life is hush hush as following after the WR arc we dive more into their lives but I do want to talk more about them. I liked following their life throughout the day and the general reclusiveness they have in a new city. Their only friend at the time is Gabriel and with no goals of going back to their old life, the only way forward is through. I will say, something about the city has a way of helping people find themselves.

6. August 8th: Of course I had to freaking include this scene

⋆ Gonna be so real right now but I was terrified to post this. Terrified. We see the chaos of Atlas's vices revealing a very important detail, one Rowan reminded us all and that is, Atlas seeks out trouble. The most curious and pressing part is why and how does it end? Any scene with Atlas is scary for me because he leaves a lot of subtle little hints but the extent of his nature is like slowly pulling off a band aid. Are people gonna like what's underneath? I'm never really sure but I do enjoy exploring his character quite a bit.

7. September 3rd: Ojitos lindos

⋆ First, I love Jules. Dude was literally supposed to only be in the one scene and... He wiggled himself into a handful. Second, was very proud of how the dance came out, with Taryn teasing Jules and Jules chasing every second of it until the kiss. OUGH! The little fiend in me blurred out "tu y yo" in the kiss scene to sorta symbolize Taryn beginning to move on from Atlas but as we see later, that was short lived. Taryn's monologue was the easiest to write and it comes from a person struggling with the bitter emotions of heartbreak.

8. October 8th: A formal introduction to Ares's life

⋆ Little lore drop but the Langs have been longtime characters of mine. In fact, longer than everyone else. Chase, Ares's father, was a main character of a youtube series I made long ago over the summers of my school days LMAO! So to revisit and restructure them as has been... WOW ! I wanted everyone to feel like they were a plant on a shelf observing the dynamics of specifically the women in Ares's life as well as the structure of his home. It felt subtle but good :)

9. October 18th: Kai's revelation

⋆ I think I have one more scene left for Kai's arc. I specifically wanted to focus on the concepts of jealousy, cognitive dissonance and religion coupled with Kai being a closeted man. I will say in the beginning, I did struggle to connect with this character. While some elements I can totally relate to, writing about it is different. Envy can be classified as an ugly feeling. It isn't palatable to most and is quickly shood away but because of that, we don't talk about it enough. So I wanted to go into this really humanizing this common emotion but not making it as some caricature of an emotion. I do love Kai's growth, I wanted to make sure he earned it and it sure feels like it.

10. November 23: The freaking arts festival

⋆ There's still like four-ish more posts to go. Those will be a bit less crash-out packed but I think it ends on a high note. There's a lot in these six posts. Some of it slightly nudging certain characters arcs, other parts deepening your knowledge of other oc's. I wanted to start out on the disappointment that Atlas faces seeing that the only person supporting him there is Daniela and how he copes in the only way he knows how. The arts festival is something he helped put together but it seems to be a reoccurring theme that any accomplishment he ever has is always overshadowed. It's always something. Each frame, every detail, to the dialogue in these two posts are intentional. The following scenes after that have some really cool conversations. I think the last post also has some unique dialogue as well but we'll pick back up on January 2nd! :)

Also a bonus! I wanted to show one of these first photos of Tessellate. It's no longer on my blog after the reboot but I wanted to show how much has changed in two years.

In line with my last post about getting good endings with companions, the writing of The Emperor really stands out in how it defies the expectations we have as players of a game of this nature. He's a very well written character who definitely wades through the very grey areas of morality and bends the truth so much he leaves you wondering just how much he's bought into his own lies,as well.

Major spoilers beneath the cut.

If you go through the same steps you do with other characters, endlessly giving him the benefit of the doubt, leaning into his comparisons of you to himself, helping him reminisce at the Elfsong. He seems to open up. You bring him back to his old home, seemingly listening to emotional secrets of his. All this culminating in him professing love for us. We expect this. It seems to be progressing normally as an ally would in a game. To the point where many might even kill the Gith prince for him.

So those who don't do so feel blindsided by his willingness to abandon us to join the elder brain the instant we won't do exactly what he asks.

But playing again, I picked options I wouldn't normally. I called him out for secrecy. I pressed him for the truth even when it seemed to truly hurt him.

And I didn't like what I found.

The Emperor is manipulative in such an organic way. He first pretends to be someone else entirely, but, when revealed, constantly poses himself as being at your mercy or otherwise making himself vulnerable to you. Every time he's caught in a lie, he says "ok this was a lie I had to keep to protect himself but only because it was basically the truth just with little details left out" and he does that again and again, each time pushing the truth a little farther, all while still insisting he has never lied to you.

He pretends that you just wandered into the prism in your dream because he was distracted and lonely, then he shows you little trinkets with cute stories attached at the Elfsong, giving you gifts in the form of his old armor and sword. He speaks so fondly of Duke Stelmane and acts so saddened by her death, then when you next see him in your dreams, he isn't wearing a shirt. All these things that make him seem so vulnerable. Like he's bared everything about himself.

Except he hasn't actually revealed anything. He tells you he was just some adventurer even though he knows how important who he was is to your quest. He acts like he and Stelmane were partners or friends. He never tells you anything about him, just anecdotes to make him seem relatable. Nothing but soft words to soften your heart and lower your guard.

And any time you express distrust or ask for proof or for him to be honest with you, he gets upset, he acts as though you are the one being cruel and unreasonable. As if you are hurting him after he made himself vulnerable for you.

So feels bad to select any dialogue choice that calls him out. That accuses him of what you suspect in your mind. Of what all the little red flags point to:

"You do a good impression of a human. But it's just an act, isn't it?"

And finally the facade comes down. He finally lets you see his thoughts. See something besides the story he concocted.

You see him torturing Stelmane, breaking her mind and reducing her to an empty shell. The same scenes he showed you before of them in a friendly partnership play again, this time revealing that she was just a glassy eyed puppet, her mind torn apart so he could use her body to serve him and control the city in secret.

"Be glad my methods have improved" he says. And tells you you were never anything but his puppet. That you never had a choice and you will not get a choice. That you are his thrall as much as Stelmane was.

And it feels like a real betrayal. Because he does a good job of acting the part. Even knowing you will mistrust him, even intending to mistrust him, you fall for at least pieces of it. And looking back the signs seem obvious and you see his you ignored them. Because that's how it was supposed to work. You were supposed to allow him to be vulnerable with you and be rewarded with his trust.

And that's exactly what he wanted you to think.

What goes through my mind when I see this art is "Since the invention of the kiss, there have been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind." Enough said, I think. Actually, no. I really like that it's b&w -some pieces look better like that than in color, imo. Love the pose and the hand-holding, and how soft the hair looks!!! The lil' tear in Radovid's eye GOT ME. This looks so romantic and sweet I want to look at it forever.

Rhaenicent Appreciation Week Day 2 by @maxanor

Oh, you feel the show's relationship between Alicent and Rhaenyra wasn't heartbreaking enough? Gifmakers got you covered! In all seriousness, the blue&gold compliment each other so well here. The blending is fantastic (special shout-out to the first gif with its mirroring tree scenes). The quote is as melancholic as these two, and the waterdrop effect... and the fact that it's used to transition from present to past… and how it makes it feel like tears falling on it because of the nostalgia of their happy memories??? Wow.

16 Years Of Merlin by @ughmerlin

I absolutely dig the VHS edits I've seen around this year, and this one is fantastic. Love that each season is color-coded and how each gets a few iconic scenes (and it can't have been easy to pick!). The blending is amazing, and the little circles with a choice quote are a cute touch. BBC Merlin was the very reason I joined tumblr, I can't believe it's been that long since it aired, and I can't believe that not only the fandom is still active but also making such cool pieces. I don't recall if I was still using VHS by the time I watched it, but this makes me feel like I can just pop it in and relive my first tumblr hyperfixation.

I've never been in a book fandom so dedicated to facecanons, and they're super fun! This one must have been A LOT of work. So many different characters from different pieces of media being brought together to represent characters that are unseen on screen, plus all the planning and organization to make everything fit and look good. Love the backgrounds, with a texture that reminds me of old parchment -special mention to the first gif with the gorgeous sea shot, and the second where the army appears to be riding into the unknown sandy void of the desert. And lastly I love to see fictional family trees, it kind of scratches an itch in my brain.

The Borgias Costume Appreciation 56 by @lady-arryn

As a costume-obsessed viewer, I have reblogged my fair share of costume edits on tumblr, and I can say with certainty lady-arryn's are the best. Eliza manages to gif crisp even the little details of the clothing and does gorgeous collections of outfits in different media. Although an incredible gifmaker overall who also has fantastic concepts, blending, fonts and coloring in other types of edits, I think making these costume edits is deceptively difficult! I could've pulled up any example, but I chose this one because this dress is one of my favorites. Along with that gauzy, dreamy sharpening, the coloring makes the red POP in a beautiful way. I once kept this gifset open on my browser for like an hour while doing other things simply because I wanted to keep looking at it.

Kit is one of the visual artists who has been keeping this fandom watered throughout the drought, and I am very thankful for it. I love the layout of this piece in particular, which calls to mind the kings of a deck of cards. The cloudy orange to dark works wonders as a background that's pretty but doesn't steal attention away from the main event. LOVE the details (the tiny buttercup on Radovid's hand! The signet ring on Jaskier's! How soft and flowy the hair looks in the breeze!). And how they're together but back to back, separated but thinking about each other. The star-crossed lovers of it all......... Yeah.

Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs + flowers by @endiness

Kai's colorings are always incredible, animation or live-action, it does not matter. I LOVE the sheer vibrance of them, taking me right back to the time in tumblr where this kind of extremely colorful gifs were everywhere. I struggled to pick one, but Snow White was my favorite movie as a child, and I love to see people giffing it, especially so beautifully. Plus, my grandmother watched this film in theaters and she absolutely loved it and was mesmerized by its color (I mean, it was 1937!). I wish I could show her the even more intense coloring of this gorgeous gifset of a simple lovely scene.

Kanthony + The Seven Stages Of Falling In Love by @crowley-anthony

There are many fandoms that have incredible talent (many of which are on this list), and Bridgerton is absolutely one of them. From the winning combo of blue&pink coloring (I am still amazed that people can just change a scene's coloring so dramatically and still make it look great), to the tiny quotes at the top of bottom that remind me of a movie poster, to the flawless blending, to the subject (who else is doing it like them, they're unhinged) to the level of detail (I did not notice the novel-esque writing background in the rings LITERALLY until i was writing this!!), this is an amazing example of that talent.

The Hunger Games Appreciation Week Day 01 by @nataliescatorccio

The best thing about finally watching this film for me was finally being able to unblock the tags and finally reblog all the beautiful edits people made of it. And this is the perfect example because!!! this!!! coloring!!! Becca's colorings being incredibly gorgeous is not new (her tutorials have really helped me this past year), but this set I feel is one of her best. I love an orange&teal combo, it's a trope for a reason (oxidized copper is such a beautiful color palette, a wise tumblrina once said). The blending is so good as usual. Putting this pairing with the Wuthering Heights quote is nothing short of brilliant, it fits scarily well. And the ombré in the font...

The Witcher: Wild Hunt Intro Monologue by @seance

As someone who this past year enjoyed The Witcher show, books and game, I love to see edits mixing and matching them, especially considering the frequent negativity one sees when it comes to this franchise. Pairing the truly epic monologue that begins the videogame with scenes from the Netflix show, this eerie edit blew me away with its incredible blending and striking coloring (and managing to make all these different scenes look well together in such intense yellow/blue can't have been easy). It managed to get me pumped for both the show and the game!

Dating game that surprised me... A lot!

Recently I started to play a mobile game called "Love & deep space" and I need to admit it - This game really surprised me.

When my ex-friend showed me this game, all I saw was: dating, pretty 3D, Korean looking men. I told her it's pretty and didn't think much of it because it wasn't out yet.

Few days ago while trying to get up from bed in the morning I suddenly remembered about this game and I decided to check if it's out. It was, so I downloaded it and started playing.

At the very beginning, the game was just a pretty looking game. I need to say that wasn't ready for the kinda limited but nice character creator (no possibility to change chair color & length - only available in photo booth option) and a voice modification option.

Main character looks pretty!

I just played through the story and my jaw honestly dropped when my game suddenly flipped to the side for a fighting section of the game

I was not ready, BUT I quite enjoyed it. Fighting reminds me about Genshin on mobile, dodge, tap, tap, tap, be careful of your health, etc.

Fighting parts aren't THAT hard, but at the same time you need to upgrade your cards and add things to them to make them stronger. Pretty basic stuff.

There are lots of fight related activities that give really nice rewards and drop materials needed to making your team stronger.

NOW THE BEST PART! - THE MEN!

Game has three love interests

Xavier - The sleepy boy

Zayne - The doctor

Rafayel - The artist

Each of them have his place in the story, and each is so much more than he looks like at the very beginning.

I honestly love Rafayel, maybe because he is an artist... he is also a little annoying, but it's also kinda sweet. I have the most memories with him and the highest lvl.

Furthermore, I love how going through the main story isn't the only way to interact with them. The game provides lots of options to spend time with them and learn new stuff about them.

You can go hunt for plushies in a claw machine or play a game that is like tic-tac-toe but with cats and cards, or you can take a photo with them. One of my many favourite things, I mean LOOK:

I love it because in this mode you can actually REALLY change your MC's look, which is wonderful! You can change your hair length, color, change make up, outfit and add accessories. Also, you pick poses and background. You also can do pics of your MC, just him or couple pics or mix of everything!

Of course, the main story isn't the only thing, there are also plenty of 'side mini stories' that are unlocked by getting specific memories.

THE LAST THING, I TRULY FALL IN LOVE WITH!

I am a sucker for ASMRs, especially the ones with my favorite characters. I can spend HOURS listening to those.

This game has something similar! You unlock specific audios by obtaining the right memories.

There are two versions - the first version is more of a story thing so you can listen, but it has "subtitles" that describe what MC says and what is happening. You don't have to, but yeah, it's a bit hard to imagine what's exactly happening sometimes.

But the other version... ooooh the other version. It's made to be JUST listen to! No subtitles or anything, just... listen and enjoy what you hear

In summary:

I really fall in love with this game. It's so much more than I expected it to be. It offers a lot of rewards and makes it easy to obtain decent cards without throwing your real money away. Sure, it's gacha game, but it's not as annoying as it could be. Sure, you still can spend money for it if you want extra features, but if you look for a game that isn't just about spending your money, it's a good pick.

Animations look nice, cards are pretty, voice acting is good, story is ok I'd say.

As for me, it's a good game! I am recommending it! A lot!

Why cars is almost my FAVOURITE animated movie of all time 

For those of you who aren't familiar with Cars let me sum it up. It starts with this rookie driver (Lightning Mcqueen) in a world where cars are living, there’s a race going on and due to his cockiness, it ends in a three-way tie, this leads to a final race being held in 7 days to decide the championship. On the way there Lightning falls out of his truck and gets lost only to destroy a road and end up having to fix it as no one there knows who he is. He is challenged to a race to leave early but slides off the track due to it being on dirt, Doc tells him he must turn right to go left to make the turn, Lightning does not believe this though. Until one day he finds out Doc is a famous racecar and later catches Doc driving and making that very turn. In the town, he begins to befriend the locals and get to know people before one night the town flocks with news crews and he is picked back up in his truck, leaving his newfound friends behind. 

 In the final race he isn’t doing too good until Doc comes over the radio and tells him to focus, the reappearance of his friends gives him the confidence and motivation to push through. As he catches the other two competitors once again, one pops his tire, and he must pit in which it is the fastest pit stop ever and shocks everyone. On the final lap he is behind the other two when the same person bumps into them sending Lightning off into the grass whilst the other two are sliding around, in this moment he remembers what Doc taught him and saves it gaining the lead in the process. Behind him the same person spins out the other racer sending him flying and tumbling. Upon seeing this lightning stops before the finish line and proceeds to drive back and push the crashed car across the line.  

This single act of sportsmanship sends a strong message to children watching it to which it is aimed at, the act of giving up one’s glory for another person to show that not everything has to be done for you and you can make a big difference on other people. And I think that character development is why it’s such a great movie. Lightning goes from being an overconfident and selfish racing driver to being a warmhearted friend. 

Another reason I love Cars is the music which fits the mood of each scene. The genre between locations changes, being more country while in radiator springs as a pose to being on a racetrack, this also changes depending who is on screen at the time too. I also like the cover versions of pre-existing songs which give a nice spice of vocals and come off more playfully and memorably.

((I’d like to mention that while it is an amazing movie the How to Train Your Dragon franchise still seals the deal as being my favorite.))

My challenge continues with Uncanny X-Men (1963) #5!

We started with the X-Men dealing with Professor X losing his powers, but that's unimportant as we learn Pietro can apparently fly planes. I'm also unsure if this is when Asteroid M was first introduced in comics, but that appears to be where this issue is set.

The Brotherhood are searching for the X-Men and failing, causing Magneto to be incredibly aggressive and rude, but it's to Toad so apparently it's okay.

Being rude to Pietro, however, I find inexcusable. Asshole.

But, do notice Pietro being more avoidant, not wanting to fight the X-Men again. Also notice that Wanda immediately backs up Pietro due to him saying what she has been thinking this whole time, yet not brave enough to say verbally. It's once again showing how Pietro is the more proactive twin while Wanda follows behind, something I'm excited to see change in later comics.

The Brotherhood had come up with a plan to get Toad to pose as an innocent Mutant that the X-Men could save, however Beast picks up on it midway through their journey on public transport (???). Very off topic, but I cannot imagine seeing the X-Men on a train, I'd personally freak out harder than I ever have before.

Back on topic, Toad goes to run away and the rest of the Brotherhood appears, with Quicksilver being the last one to show. I don't know if it's a coincidence but I am a fan of how Cyclops and Quicksilver keep running into each other specifically.

A direct quote from Pietro, which I find hilarious; "Blast it! I didn't realise he could use his beam while I was holding his arms!" I apparently have severely overestimated Pietro's intelligence.

For context, Magneto decided to trade Toad for Angel and is now keeping Angel in Asteroid M. I know this series isn't about Wanda, but when talking about Pietro, she's necessary to speak of as well.

So, Wanda still having this faith in Magneto, that he wouldn't ever kill someone, is fascinating in a way. She wants so fully to believe in the man who saved her, even to the point of ignoring nearly every single red flag he's shown.

Despite how terrible Magneto is to Wanda at every given moment, she follows him despite it all.

The X-Men have infiltrated Asteroid M now and Magneto is once again promoting murder, to which Wanda disagrees. For the first time now, Wanda actually acts against Magneto and hexes the control panel, making it impossible for him to open the air lock.

He goes to threaten Wanda and Pietro immediately steps in to protect her, as he always does.

That line from Pietro is probably the most defining line that could be used for him. His entire character is basically a tool specifically for keeping Wanda safe, it's how writers treat him and it's how he seems to view himself. His self-worth is tied up completely in how of worth he can be to his sister, I would love it if this could be explored, but I don't think it ever really is.

The X-Men then attack, cutting the family drama short and once again putting Cyclops and Quicksilver together, something I am growing to love.

Scott tries to talk Pietro into joining the X-Men and the only reason Pietro refuses is because Magneto saved his sister, that he owes Magneto for that. Again, tying Pietro's self-worth to Wanda.

Now, we see Pietro's trust issues in full blast, he truly believes he has no one except for Wanda. The differences in Wanda, so scared that she forces herself to trust people who never should be, compared to Pietro, who completely and utterly refuses to trust anyone.

Scott manages to grab Pietro, making Magneto demand Wanda put a hex on Scott. Wanda refuses and then that's kind of it for a while. Next we see Magneto and Wanda, they've seemingly left Scott and Pietro to grapple each other on the floor, which is... strange.

Then Magneto runs into Pietro and Scott on the floor and appears to be surprised by it? As if he hadn't just left them behind to fight alone. He punches Scott off of Pietro and simply throws him to his potential death, which he couldn't done a lot earlier.

And that's it for Pietro, as the X-Men escape after saving Scott and leave the Asteroid behind.
